Poderi Vaiot
About the Winery
Poderi Vaiot is a family-run winery located in the heart of the hills of the Roero, specifically in Montà (Cuneo province), at the foot of the picturesque Santuario dei Piloni. Here, the Casetta family—today represented by Daniele and Walter—has made vineyards, land, and wine a true way of life, passing down knowledge, stories, and passion through generations.
The name “Vaiot” is rooted in family memory, recalling the long-standing winemaking tradition of their ancestors. Since 2003, the brothers have embarked on a personal journey of experimentation and research, developing a distinctive style that expresses the authentic identity of the Roero in every bottle.
Poderi Vaiot’s philosophy is based on deep respect for the land. The vineyards—spread across carefully selected parcels for their exposure and soil composition—are cultivated with great attention to biodiversity. Native wild herbs are allowed to grow between the rows, and much of the vineyard work is carried out manually to preserve the natural health and balance of the soil.
The winery focuses on high-quality DOC and DOCG wines that reflect the aromas and nuances of the Roero landscape. Among its most representative labels are Roero Arneis DOCG, Roero DOCG Riserva, Alta Langa Metodo Classico “Val del Moro,” Barbera d’Alba DOC, and Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC, along with other white, red, and sparkling wines that embody the unique character of the territory.
Visiting Poderi Vaiot means enjoying a complete and immersive experience: guided tastings in the cellar with detailed explanations of the winemaking and aging processes, vineyard tours, and convivial moments in the tasting room, where guests can explore the wines paired with traditional local products.
The winery has also received national and international recognition from prestigious wine guides and competitions, confirming the quality and distinctive character of its production.
In short, Poderi Vaiot is a place where history, nature, tradition, and flavor come together, offering visitors an authentic experience of Piedmont’s winemaking culture.
About the Wines
Roero Arneis, Roero, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Barbera d’Alba, Alta Langa and Nebbiolo d’Alba Spumante Rosé. The six pearls of the territory united under a brand that, in the name of quality, gives life to a limited production.
We carefully select our grapes to guarantee a high quality finished product, in every bottle.
Our production is not of quantity, but of quality: like the cellars of the past, our only goal is to work well, without overdoing it, so as not to damage the great potential of this ecosystem.
