Amazing

It was super super nice expérience! We all enjoyed it really much. We had the opportunity to learn about the wine but also about the history of Sardinia with Giuseppe. He explained a lot to us, about wine and also about the food we ate. We all agreed that it was the best experience we had in Sardinia to be honest!

Sardinian hospitality

Giuseppe is the best host. He explained the process of wine-making very well, answered all of our wine-related questions and we had a very pleasant chat. We also got to feast with the cutest dog!
To reach the vineyard you need a good car - it’s a dirt road up a hill. Maybe you should put that information here.

A great local wine experience

I had a lovely time. We did this tour on our last day and really ended our vacation in the best way. You get to take a look at the vineyard and see where the wine itself is made and afterwards you get to experience some great wine in Giuseppes' company with local delicacies. He will answer all your questions and talk about his true passion of wine making and the joys of life. I would pick this tour again over a bigger winery tour as this was a true experience!

About Winery and Wines

The Lecis vinicultural company is located in Soleminis, a small town in the Southern part of Sardinia at about 20 km from Cagliari. Surrounded by its green vineyards and extended over a surface of approximately 25 hectares (around 61 acres), this vinicultural company is positioned on a hill reaching more than 300 metres above sea level: this grants an ideal microclimate for vine-growing and prevents any plant’s disease, thus granting high-quality wines.

The Lecis farm grows red and white grapes of local and internationally renowned varieties; specifically, the following can be found: Cannonau, Carignano, Merlot, Cabernet, Barbera and Monica represent the reds, while Nuragus, Vermentino, Moscato, Malvasia and Chardonnay the whites. The terrain is generally handled mechanically, but manually refined: our attention to details during the harvest, which is completely operated by hand, is key to obtain an excellent result. Harvesting schedules and the following fermentation steps, at a strictly controlled temperature, contribute to a very low level of sulphites; these are measured to the minimum extent required to regulate the life cycle of a bottled wine.
