Etna Traditions Wine Expérience at Campore

Amazing experience!
At first, the winery and the building are so beautiful! Our guide told us that it was recently renovated by new owners and they took the lavastone look to the next level.
We got a tour trough the vineyard and learned all about the different types of grapes and soils there. Very interesting what influences the soil can have on the taste of the wine!
Even as the tour, our tasting was also a private one with just the two of us. Again the tasting room was beautifully designed and decorated with an amazing view over the yard as well.
We have tasted 4 different types of wines. (Sparkling, white, rosé and red) All were very delicious and were paired with (lots of) tasty Sicilian food. We were so surprised by the amount of food that we didn’t need to get diner afterwords.
By the end of the tasting, our guide to us back to the vineyard to the platform in the middle of it, so we could watch the beautiful sunset from there.
We did found this tasting by surprise but is was an amazing experience!
None! You are just amazing!

About Winery and Wines
The Camporè estate, situated on the slopes of Etna, in the DOC area, in the Contrade San Lorenzo and Campo Re of Randazzo at 765 m a.s.l., was born in 2016, thanks at the will of Maria Pia and Cristina Madaudo. Originally, the estate owned by the King of Italy Vittorio Emanuele II passed by donation to Cavalier Giovanni Vagliasindi and then went by inheritance, until it was bought by the Madaudo family. The Camporè project undertaken by the two young entrepreneurs is aimed at restoring the original value of a place designed and organized for the production of wine to the noble house and the ancient millstone.
We produce:
Etna DOC red wine is a bright red wine that takes on as it ages a ruby red color tending to garnet. The scent is of a rich floral bouquet with notes of cocoa and cofee. Aging in wood gives our Etna a taste harmonious, dry, savory with a good tannin.
Etna DOC white wine has a straw yellow color with greeni- sh reflections, with aging tending to gold. On the nose you can appreciate notes of white pulp fruit. On the pa- late there is an excellent acidity with a flint aftertaste.
Etna DOC rosè wine has a pale pink color. The nose has hints of tropical fruits such as passion fruit. Good acidity and minerality are perceived.
Sparkling Wine Brut Nerello Mascalese IGT, Charmat method
It shows a fine and persistent bubble. On the nose there is a floral note, reminiscent of jasmine. On the palate it is fresh and well balanced between acidity and structure.
