Lovely Experience

12/1/23
We enjoyed the wine tasting experience at this lovely establishment. The staff were friendly, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The selection of wines was great, offering good value for the price.
There's an opportunity to enhance the overall experience by improving the clarity of communication during the tour.

About Winery and Wines

Cantina Urbana Milano is the first wine production winery in Milano. With a select network of trusted wine artisans and winemakers, it produces wine by choosing the best grapes from the wine collective's 'vignerons' friends scattered throughout Italy.

Once we carefully select raw materials, we create small productions based on the final taste we want to achieve. We do not use chemicals pushed into the cellar and work with very low levels of sulfur dioxide, in some cases even without it. Our aging takes place spontaneously, in wooden barrels, terracotta amphorae or steel based on what we think is right for that wine, experimenting, stepping outside the box, sometimes making mistakes. We create the product together step by step.

We have brought a winery to a metropolis. Why? To welcome you and give you the key to a world that is sometimes too closed and far away. Here with us you can follow the wine production processes step by step, from the arrival of the grapes in the cellar to the labeling of the bottle. A place where you can learn, but also have fun experimenting, get involved, discover new tastes with our help and our tasting itineraries. Live the experience of Cantina Urbana to the fullest: let yourself be guided by one of our Cellar Master to discover the method production of our wines by viewing the machinery and aging in wooden, steel and terracotta amphorae.

For years we have traveled throughout Italy to research and select the best native varieties. On the strength of this research, we have built a network of winemaker friends who raise their own vines with devotion, allowing the grapes to express themselves at their best and enabling us to make excellent wines. We listened to their stories, which tell of the passion of young "revolutionaries," mature professionals and wise traditionalists who have been passing on their knowledge for generations.

This network of relationships and knowledge allows us today, to make special wines, and to connect the world of quality artisanal wine with a metropolitan reality open to the world.
