About the Wines
During the guided visit to Casa Vermouth Padró, guests can enjoy a tasting of eight unique vermouths that showcase the artistry and diversity of Padró i Família.
The experience begins with the Myrrha range, our collection of traditional vermouths made following the family’s original recipes.
Myrrha Blanco: Our more traditional white vermouth made with a young white wine and very aromatic botanicals. Sweet, refreshing and zesty with a mix of floral and aniseed notes.
Myrrha Rojo: With vanilla and clove aromas, and the balsamic notes of mountain herbs. A traditional red vermouth with a soft fusion of sweet and bitter.
Myrrha Rojo Reserva: Our more complex traditional red vermouth. Aged in ex-sherry casks, giving toasted aromas of dried fruits and spicy and balsamic notes.
The journey continues with the Padró & Co. premium range, five award-winning vermouths that reinterpret the Mediterranean tradition with creativity and depth.
Blanco Reserva: A vermouth with a base of aged mistela to which we add an infusion of aromatic herbs and citrus peel, making it zesty and refreshing. Aged for 12 months in acacia foudres (oval barrels).
Rojo Clásico: A tribute to vermouth at its most traditional. Made from a base of Macabeo and Xarel·lo and an infusion of Mediterranean herbs. Aged for 12 months in ex-sherry casks.
Reserva Especial: Sweetened with an oporto-style wine, which gives it a richly aged quality, combined with the bitterness of the infusion we use. Aged for 18 months in ex-sherry casks.
Dorado Amargo Suave: A base of Macabeo with an infusion of exceptionally bitter botanicals, giving it a balsamic and refreshing character. Aged for 9 months in chestnut barrels.
Rojo Amargo: Our most powerful vermouth, with a double infusion of mountain botanicals, bark and roots. Aged for two years in chestnut barrels.
Each tasting reflects the care, patience and passion that define Padró i Família, offering visitors an authentic journey through the flavours and aromas of Catalan vermouth.
