Castello la Leccia
About the Winery
Castello La Leccia is a historic estate dating back to 1077, once dominated by the Ricasoli family during the Florence-Siena conflicts. Today, the castle is an organic farm located in the heart of Tuscany. Lovingly restored, the estate offers a family-like atmosphere where guests can experience the authentic Tuscan lifestyle. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, Castello La Leccia embodies a deep respect for the land and a commitment to sustainability, welcoming visitors to immerse themselves in its rich history and serene beauty.
About the Wines
At Castello La Leccia, winemaking is rooted in respecting the natural ecosystem. The estate's vineyards, situated between 300 and 500 meters above sea level, produce complex and elegant wines, with Sangiovese as the star variety. Chianti Classico, the flagship wine, showcases the estate’s connection to the land, while the Bruciagna vineyard contributes to the prestigious "Gran Selezione." Other varieties like Malvasia Nera, Syrah, and Ciliegiolo are blended to create distinctive IGT wines, and the estate also produces a unique white IGT wine based on Incrocio Manzoni.

Wish we had more space in our bags to buy more bottles of wine to bring home .We will definitely recommend, thanks so much.
There is a website for Tuscany area, i suggest that they add a link to Winediring on their site. It is much easier to plan a trip when you have valuable information in one place.
