About Winery and Wines

The farm located in the heart of Bot and owned by the Bosch-Llovet family, is known as Cal Menescal. According to existing data, it was built at the beginning of the 19th century by Fuster's ancestor, a veterinarian by profession (“menescal” in old Catalan), although it could well date from the end of the 18th century.

The transformation of grapes into wine dates back to before 1860. The existence of a 1,600-litre butt of this age and that we still keep in the winery, attests to our family's winemaking tradition.

Celler Menescal at the end of the 20th century is when it began to change and look to the future, producing the first lines of quality wine but maintaining the tradition of the grapes and the essence of our wines.

Currently the winery is focused mainly on wine tourism. Through our experiences we create a direct bridge with our clients.

We are currently focused on the recovery of tradition.
That is why our whites are mainly single-varietal Garnacha Blanca, our best-known variety.
As for red wines, we combine Garnacha Tinta monovarietals with Garnacha and Syrah and Merlot wines, mainly.
