Champagne A. Lété
About the Winery
Champagne A. Lété is above all a family adventure: 3 generations working together on the estate, united by a shared commitment. The estate covers 9 hectares in Damery (7 km from Épernay) and Fleury-la-Rivière, in the heart of the Vallée de la Marne. At its center lies a rare asset in Champagne: a Clos (Le Clos de la Terrière Brûlée) where we will welcome visitors.
In this story shaped by remarkable figures, women play a central role... While Auguste founded the House in 1890, it truly began with his wife, Jeanne. Another strong figure, Annick, began working in the vineyards at just 14 years old. She passed on her passion to us, shaped by dedication and experience. Today, she is an inspiring role model for her grandchildren, especially Clara, who represents the fifth generation of women in the family.
The Damery vineyard is deeply rooted in the Champagne terroir. Meunier, the region’s flagship grape variety, expresses itself here with a unique typicity and represents 50% of the plots. Chardonnay, accounting for 30%, along with Pinot Noir at 20%, harmoniously complements our terroir. Located on the right bank, our parcels benefit from ideal exposure! The estate is certified HVE Level 4 and is committed to Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne.
Our generosity is fully expressed through our work. Hours are not counted, and our expertise remains as hands-on as possible, with a certain talent for being everywhere at once. These skills, passed down from generation to generation (perhaps also innate), are now embodied by Laetitia, Clara, Frédéric & Tom.
About the Wines
Three collections express the identity of Champagne A. Lété:
Les Miscellanées offer light, fruit-forward, and perfectly balanced champagnes, defined by immediate elegance.
Les Empreintes reveal more complex and nuanced cuvées, shaped by precise dosage and extended ageing.
Les Arcanes embody rare and refined creations, born from a meticulous approach to terroir.
At the heart of the estate, our Clos de la Terrière Brûlée gives rise to a confidential cuvée, the purest expression of our origin.
Our champagnes are aged between 2 and 5 years. Only first-press juices are selected (la cuvée), dosage liqueurs are crafted in-house from a family recipe, and every bottle is hand-turned, perpetuating a truly artisanal savoir-faire.
