About the Winery
We are Virginia and Niccolò, brother and sister, and we care for the vineyards surrounding the small Renaissance town of Cerreto Guidi, along the ancient Via Francigena, which was passed down to us by our grandfather.
Every year we harvest our grapes and dedicate ourselves to producing genuine wines deeply connected to the land where we grew up. Since childhood, we have breathed in our grandfather’s — and later our father’s — passion for the land and for wine. After completing our studies and gaining experience in other environments and abroad, we decided to embark on this adventure, which challenges and inspires us every single day.
We want our wines to speak about us and about the young people who work alongside us daily with great passion. Together, we strive to give character to our “artisan” products — in the noblest sense of the word — crafting soulful wines of unmistakable Tuscan origin that express our land with freshness and authenticity.
While embracing modern techniques and technology, every stage of production is carried out with meticulous care, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, with the utmost respect for the environment, the land, and its fruit.
About the Wines
The “terroir” near the Montalbano mountains and the Tyrrhenian sea is a perfect union between climate, ground, and the complexity of the soil, partly sandy and partly calcareous and loamier, which gives our wines a distinctive connotation, strength, and vitality.
Our mission is a quest for quality in the vineyard and then in the cellar, paying the greatest attention to our grapes. It is in this way that territory wines are produced, mainly Sangiovese with an eye to drinkability and the aromatic spectrum.
The harvesting is manual; the everyday “tools “ are our large Tuscan oak vats, the barrels, and the terracotta amphoras. We have rediscovered the method of the Governo Toscano tradition in our Chianti – we work the Sangiovese and Merlot grapes separately with different refinement processes. The result of our everyday work is a proposal of elegant wines with character, which are at the same time easy to drink and which have a unique bouquet every harvest.
