A Beautifully Balanced Experience of History, Nature, and Wine
To also be able to actually taste the grapes directly from the vine is amazing as well.
Be aware though, the trail is quite physical, with some steep climbs, so I’d only recommend it if you’re in good shape and comfortable walking uphill.
The experience ended perfectly with a wine tasting beautifully paired with local cured meats and cheeses. We sampled two red wines and one sparkling, each carefully matched to highlight the region’s character.
If you’re in the area — and up for the walk — this is an absolute must-do.
(Pictures are unfortunately only part of the tour. Much more to see.)
We were very interested in purchasing some wines during the tasting, but were asked to place any orders later by email. While I understand and appreciate that many visitors prefer not having a sales moment at the end — it keeps the experience peaceful and authentic — it would be great to also offer the option to taste and purchase on-site. We were ready to restock our wine cabinet and would have loved the opportunity to select a few bottles right after the tasting.
A unique experience
He spoke with passion and thereby made this tour really special.
We would come back any time.
Excellent visit and tasting at Cultivar delle Volte - Bignotti Winery
Beautiful family winery
Fantastic
On tiptoe...
The walk among the cellar, vines, olive trees, beehives, and secrets of the former Gheza estate, built in the 20th century. Andrea, Marco, and the Bignotti parents have not only transformed it into a great passion, but through their stories, they involved us in their dreams.
Savoring your wines, in your 'home', was a beautiful experience made of taste, passions, and dreams.
Thank you.
Wonderful experience
Fantastic tasting... the Bignotti family is truly hospitable and very kind.
An experience I recommend.
A family's passion
The tasting was excellent, where we savored excellent wines with the owner's thorough explanation.
An experience to recommend.
A walk through history, rediscovered passion and enveloping wines.
It seems like a place out of this world for the blend of nature and man, a small oasis that aims to offer the visitor a complete experience, made even more pleasant by the courtesy and professionalism of Giorgio and his sons.
The wines are relatively young but satisfy the nose and palate, creating new memories.
I would suggest to the owners not to base the tour on Leonardo. That part is interesting, but the story of how they took over the complex and the vineyards is much more so.
