Set between wild garrigue, vineyards, and limestone cliffs just north of Montpellier, Domaine Uma lies in the legendary terroir of Pic Saint Loup. Spread across 120 hectares and divided into three distinct terroirs, the estate is nourished by the Rieufrech river and caressed by a unique microclimate. The estate takes its name and spirit from the Hindu goddess Uma, whose three mantras—Light, Energy, and Creativity—perfectly reflect the soul of the Domaine. Led by Florence Clausel-Borel, the Domaine unites architecture, art, and viticulture in a stunningly designed estate where organic farming, sustainability, and modern aesthetics meet. The winery is proudly certified Organic, with every gesture in the vineyard and cellar reflecting a deep respect for nature and terroir.
The wines of Domaine Uma are a creative expression of Mediterranean tradition and modern innovation. Reds are crafted from Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan, while whites come from Rolle, Roussanne, Chardonnay, and Sémillon. Rosés feature Merlot, Cinsault, and Grenache Noir, and the estate has recently embraced more unusual varieties like Fiano, Albariño, and Sangiovese. Winemaker Karen Turner shapes each collection with a unique identity:
