Enjoyed the Truffle hunting, dogs and guide were great and they even found a couple of white truffles. Then the Wine tour and tasting was interesting and they made us feel like VIPs. The wine and lunch as unrushed with very informative guides.

The winery Cantine Ercolani was founded in 1988 in Montepulciano, in the heart of a sweet Tuscany where, already in the 40s, great-grandfather Ercolani showed love and skills in the wine cellar. The passion for the territory and its produce was passed down to his sons by grandfather Sergio in the 60s and that laid the foundations of today's business. The Porta di Bacco opens, the first restaurant modernly designed around the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, vinsanto, oil and the sale of typical salami, strictly on yellow paper. Over time the company grows, buys new land, expands its own views and strengthen the staff; the commitment to authenticity remains constant, authenticity of the raw materials, of the cultivation and processing processes and of traditional cuisine. To date the farm Ercolani count on a solid organization. Expert staff deals with the processing of about 150 hectares of land, crops, truffle fields, vineyards, olive groves, sheep farms and direct sales. The flagship of the company is the Underground City which deals with the production, transformation, sale and tasting of only products related to the Poliziano territory such as Nobile di Montepulciano wine, vinsanto DOC, grappa, extra virgin olive oil, pecorino, salami, jams, honey and fresh truffles.
