Was in a word - AMAZING
Enjoyed the Truffle hunting, dogs and guide were great and they even found a couple of white truffles. Then the Wine tour and tasting was interesting and they made us feel like VIPs. The wine and lunch as unrushed with very informative guides.

About Winery and Wines
Founded in 1988, Cantine Ercolani is a family-owned winery located in the heart of Montepulciano, Tuscany. Our roots stretch back to the 1940s, when great-grandfather Ercolani began cultivating his love and expertise in winemaking. This passion was passed down through the generations, with grandfather Sergio laying the foundation for the thriving business we have today. The family’s dedication to the region and its traditions led to the creation of Porta di Bacco, the first modern restaurant centered around Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, where authentic local products such as vinsanto, olive oil, and salami are proudly served.
Today, Cantine Ercolani has grown into a solid enterprise, managing over 150 hectares of land that include vineyards, olive groves, truffle fields, and sheep farms. A highlight of the estate is the Underground City, where visitors can explore our wine production, taste local products, and experience the authentic flavors of the Poliziano territory. Our commitment to tradition, authenticity, and quality remains unwavering, ensuring that every bottle reflects the rich heritage of our land.
At Cantine Ercolani, our wines are crafted with passion and a deep respect for the land. We specialize in the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, a wine steeped in tradition and recognized for its complexity and elegance. In addition to Vino Nobile, we also produce vinsanto DOC, a classic Tuscan dessert wine, along with grappa and extra virgin olive oil from our own groves.
