Fattoria Santa Vittoria
About the Winery
Living on the farm surrounded by fields, vineyards, and olive trees, Fattoria Santa Vittoria works with passion using low-impact farming methods to preserve the land and environment. The estate produces DOC white and IGT red wines made from Sangiovese and other ancient, lesser-known Tuscan varieties such as Pugnitello, Fogliatonda, and Grechetto. Experiments with non-local grapes like Semillon, Incrocio Manzoni, Gewürztraminer, and Nero d'Avola are also undertaken, though the focus remains on local varieties. The wines are crafted from carefully selected grapes across 35 hectares of vineyards and have been recognized by wine guides and publications, including Slow Wine, Gambero Rosso, and Wine Spectator.
About the Wines
Fattoria Santa Vittoria cultivates its vineyards using low-impact farming methods, ensuring year-round care of the vines to harvest the best quality grapes. The vineyards are home to traditional Tuscan varieties like Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Malvasia, and Grechetto, as well as rare, ancient varieties such as Foglia Tonda and Pugnitello. Additionally, international varieties, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Nero d’Avola, Manzoni Bianco, Semillon, and Traminer, are grown. The estate produces around 35,000 bottles annually across 8 different labels: 1 white, 1 rosé, 6 reds, and 2 dessert wines. While the focus remains on Tuscan grapes, the estate also explores the potential of other grape varieties.
