5 Wonderful experience! (Christel)Cantina Canaio Winery was the most wonderful experience. Set in beautiful surroundings overlooking the Tuscan countryside. The hosts Pietro and Claudia made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Claudia made some delicious food to go along with the superb wine combinations. Definitely worth a visit and I I can highly recommend it.

5 Brilliant tour; thoroughly recommended (Jeremy)On Friday 05 June 2026 my girlfriend and I did this tour; it’s pitched at people who want a glimpse into wine-making; the best of all was the lunch and the guy who led the whole experience was brilliant. Can’t recommend this experience highly enough.

5 Best Wine Experience we have ever had! (Juan Carlos)It was a total experience, since the very moment we arrieved to the winery Eleonora treat us like part of the family, she explain in detail how they do all the process of the wine from start to end. The winery is beautifull, the views are simply magnificent and for the best part... The wines were great! we took 4 of them home to Costa Rica!. If you want a true Toscan experience you need to visit San Luciano.

5 Beautiful winery, excellent tour (Francisco)My wife and I decided to book a tour here during our honeymoon. This secluded winery was absolutely stunning. Gianmarco was our guide and led us through an informative tour of the vineyard and facility which included a background into the history of his family’s winery. The tasting was wonderful and paired well with small bites. Don’t forget about the olive oil they produce, which was also sensational. I would absolutely visit again.

5 Great place (Christan)This was a great tour. The owner personally took us on a tour of his winery. He showed us every step in the process from the grapes on the vine to the storage of the wine. After the tour, we sat down for our tasting of 6 different wines. All the wines were a generous pour and came with an explanation of the bottling process. It was paired with food that was delicious. I would definitely recommend this tour!

We tried three super Tuscans and each was more impressive than the next. The guide was very knowledgeable and patient while ansewering our questions. 2 Bit disappointing (Koen)Me and a friend were excited to try the full tasting. While the wines were nice, we were disappointed by the setting of the tasting. The locale doesn't have much atmosphere and the food was served on paper plates and in plastic cups.

5 Tasting With Passionate Vigneron (Mike)Mr. Lucca gave us a detailed history of his vineyards with plenty of his own take on events. Then we went into the production side of his small operations. Then came the tasting; what fantastic wines. Very generous pours! Then his mother came in and gave us little jars of honey made on the property. Great experience!

The Chiantis were delicious, and I don’t normally like Chianti, and the lunch was soooo good!! They ship at no cost if you buy a case and the prices are reasonable. Highly recommend the Themed Wine Tasting with lunch.

They are letting you visit the vines and the land that surround the winery and then you’ll have a visit inside the production area and also a little visit to the cellar where the great reserves are located. 5 Authentic Chianti winery experience (Alexa)We had the best time ever in this family owned winery! We have booked the full experience with the visit of the winery and the tasting with food. Luca welcomed us warmly. The visit was very educative, Mirko, the owner, is very nice, knowledgeable and passionate about his job, It was wonderful listening about the history of his family who owned the property for generations. The tasting included 6 different wines produced by the winery, for each wine Mirko gave us a full description. The food was also great with Tuscan cold cuts, cheese, bruschetta, and pasta, plenty enough food for a lunch. I cannot recommend enough this very authentic Chianti winery! Thank you Mirko and Luca for the great experience

5 Wine experience at Cantina Canaio (Kathy)We had such a lovely experience at the family owned Cantina Canaio! The winery is in a beautiful location. Photos simply cannot fully capture the picturesque countryside. We were so warmly welcomed upon our arrival. The wine tour was interesting and our guide was so informative and charming. The "light" lunch was fantastic and also quite filling and tasty! We enjoyed all the wines that we tasted and ordered some to ship home (and bought a couple bottles to take with us). 5 Amazing Experience!! (Abby )The hosts of our wine tour went above and beyond to make this experience amazing! We did not come prepared with a taxi so they found us transportation to and from the winery. They also were able to book us a reservation for dinner later that night! Upon arriving, we got to learn all about how the wine making process occurs and the different aspects that go into each process. We ended with a sampling of four different wines, meats, cheeses, and olive oil covered bread. Each wine and food item was excellent. Ended up buying quite a few bottles after because we enjoyed it so much. The hosts were so understanding, kind, and knowledgeable. Overall an amazing experience.

5 5 stars for Cantina Canaio (Mandy)We visited the family run vineyard Cantina Canaio, between Cortona and Montepulciano for a wine tasting and lunch to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. What a fantastic event, it far exceeded our expectations. Firstly we had the place to ourselves so we felt more like special guests rather than tourists. Marzia spoke excellent English and gave us a great background to the history of the vineyard and the renovations which the family have undertaken over the last 10 years or so. Then followed a tour of the winery and cellar and a description of the wine making process which was very informative and interesting. After this we were shown into the dining room for the wine tasting and lunch. We had a 3 course meal which was described as a light lunch complete with descriptions of every course in Italian by the lovely and enthusiastic cook. Thank goodness Marzia could translate. The wines were all delicious and we each had different favourites - mine was the rosé. There is no pressure to buy any wines but we couldn’t resist stocking up with a few bottles to take back to our Villa. What a great way to spend a few hours in the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Can thoroughly recommend - you won’t be disappointed.
