About Winery and Wines
Finigeto, founded in 2005 by Aldo Dallavalle in Oltrepò Pavese, reflects a passion for viticulture that began when Aldo was just 10 years old, working alongside his uncle. After years of cultivating vines, Aldo realized his dream in 2012 by establishing the winery. The company emphasizes a deep respect for tradition and craftsmanship while blending modern techniques. Finigeto’s wines embody Aldo's dedication to the land, creating a connection between the raw material and the final glass of wine, always aiming for quality and excellence.
With its 42 hectares, Finigeto has chosen to continue the cultivation of the typical vines of Oltrepò: Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling Renano, Moscato, Barbera and Croatina. Every choice, from the perfect marriage between soil and vine to the exposure, to the planting layout, to the design of the cellar, is the result of research and attention to details to bring to the bottle a wine which is, first of all, the expression of its character.
Since January 2017, Finigeto Winery has considered the idea of getting out of the organic certification and creating its code which not only includes the use of natural products in the countryside and the winery but also respects the biodiversity of the ecosystems of our vineyards. For this reason, the estate developed the Love Nature project, to introduce an innovative system of integrated production that involves the whole production process, from vineyard to bottled wine. The goals of the project are not limited to the safeguarding of the environment, the territory, and the winemaking tradition, but they also highlight a very important social value: to leave to future generations a better, healthy, and clean environment.
