Gori Agricola

10/1/23
Esperienza molto intima di degustazione fatta in coppia, ci ha permesso di apprezzare al meglio sia la cultura vinicola che la minuziosità dedicata al prodotto.
Ringraziamo i lavoratori di questa piccola e accogliente realtà.
Ottimo tutto

“Tasting of 5 wines, Vermutat - Red Vermouth from Ramandolo - and local delicacies at Gori Agricola, a certified organic winery.”

About Winery and Wines

The love and the passion for his homeland, inspired Piero Gori to make his dream come true: a modern winery, which combines tradition and innovation.

So, in 2009, was born Gori Agricola in the “Colli Orientali del Friuli” area in Nimis, the ancient roman Castrum Nemas.

The meticulous attention towards quality and the respect

and enhancement of the surrounding environment give rise to a modern winery.

In 2016 the company started to adopt a management system which was able to adapt to local conditions, and after a conversion period, it started to produce organic wines from the 2019 harvest as certified by ICEA.

This is our philosophy: respect for and enhancement of the environment for organic and quality wines!

The winery stands out for its own architectural style: built on three levels,

completely undergrounded in the hillside, it exploits the gravitational force avoiding mechanical equipment.

Our Reds

- Merlot D.O.C. Toni Vasût: Despite being of French origins, this is the most produced and consumed red wine in Friuli. It is the classic definition of “taglio” which makes it an historic Friulian wine. The grapes take advantage from the good exposure of the foothills of the Alps, giving fresh wine with good qualities to improve over the years.

- Pinot Nero D.O.C. Nemas I°: A world wide importance vine, considered one of the most popular in the world but well established in Friuli, finds its best habitat in the foothills of the Alps. Caressed by the fresh wind coming from the mountains, it takes full advantage of the typical temperature range of this area.

- Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso D.O.C. Re Del Bosco: Classic autochthonous vine present throughout Friuli, gives the best of itself in the hilly areas.

- Rosso IGT Friuli Venezia Giulia Meni Vasût: Dedicated to Piero's father, the owner of Cantine Gori, is an assembly of some red wines of the company.

- Schioppettino D.O.C. Tita G: Only cultivated in a few areas of Friuli, it is an autochthonous vine. This is a grape variety which needs a good sun exposure and does not like lowland areas, especially humid ones. In the hills therefore, it gives the best of itself.

Our Whites:

- Chardonnay D.O.C. GiùGiù: International grape variety that finds a suitable habitat in the region, which elevates it to one of the most characteristic Friulian wines. It has an excellent aging potential.

- Ribolla Gialla D.O.C. Blanc di Bianca: Autochthonous Friulian grape variety, known since 1300 when was present at the table of the Doge of Venice. In the hills it finds its optimal location. Wine to be drunk, it recalls a carefree and pleasant drink.

- Friulano D.O.C. Bon Blanc: Classic white wine of the region, pure expression of the territory. It has written the history of the autochthonous white wines of Friuli, hence the name that characterizes its origin. It is a wine of extreme ductility, ready to drink but able to age well.

- Sauvignon D.O.C. Busse Ben : International vine, it finds one of its favourite places in Friuli thanks to the very frequent temperature variations. The fresh and dry soil enhances its elegants characteristics.

Special Wines :
- Metodo Classico D.O.C. Magnificat : 80% Pinot Noir & 20% Chardonnay - Pas Dosé

Magnificat is offered only in the magnum version, an optimal format for aging over the years and for enhancing the sensory characteristics. A perfect format for a sparkling wine designed to accompany great occasions, make convivial moments special or become an ever welcome gift.

- Ramandolo D.O.C.G. Oro di Nemas: Historical Friulian DOCG, tells the story of Nimis, the town where the Ramandolo Cru is located; decades of hard work in selecting and enhancing the grape variety consecrate this wine among the main visiting cards of Friulian enology.
