Podere Barbi is a family-owned winery located in the beautiful hills of Baschi, Umbria, overlooking Lake Corbara and close to the historic town of Orvieto.

Since 1932, our family has been dedicated to producing wines that express the unique character of this remarkable territory. We carefully cultivate our vineyards, combining tradition, experience, and modern winemaking techniques to create authentic and elegant wines.

At Podere Barbi, our wines are a true expression of the Orvieto and Baschi territory. We are deeply committed to preserving the region’s winemaking heritage, producing wines primarily from indigenous grape varieties that have been cultivated in Umbria for generations.

Our white wines are centered around Grechetto, Procanico, and Vermentino, alongside other traditional local varieties. We produce elegant and expressive wines, including Orvieto Classico Dry and Orvieto Classico Abboccato, known for their freshness, balance, and distinctive mineral character.

Our red wines are made predominantly from Sangiovese, together with Montepulciano, Ciliegiolo, and Canaiolo. These native varieties allow us to create authentic wines that reflect the character, history, and identity of our land.

We are also proud to offer four naturally fermented wines, crafted with minimal intervention to highlight the purity of the grapes and the unique personality of each vintage.
