PODERE CASTELLINUZZA

Winery in Chianti, Chianti Classico

About the Winery

Podere Castellinuzza, a small family-run farm, is nestled on a picturesque hill in the Lamole area, at the heart of Chianti Classico. The estate spans 9 hectares, with 3.5 hectares of vineyards, 2 hectares of olive trees, and the rest covered by chestnut woods. The estate’s roots trace back to sharecropping, and in 1962, the Coccia family, with great determination, purchased the land where they had worked since the early 1900s.

Led by winemaker Paolo Coccia, who has over 70 harvests behind him, the estate is a testament to his dedication and love for the land. Paolo works alongside his daughter Serena and an all-female family team, including Luisa, Antonella, and Martina. With a commitment to quality and boundless respect for nature, Podere Castellinuzza is a symbol of tradition and authenticity, constantly renewing its connection to the earth.

About the Wines

At Podere Castellinuzza, each small vineyard is vinified separately, a meticulous process that brings great satisfaction by enhancing the distinct character of each plot. The pursuit of quality, with respect for tradition and life, is at the heart of the estate’s philosophy. Certified organic, with a possible future focus on biodynamics, the estate produces three types of wines: Chianti Classico, Riserva, and Gran Selezione.
