Tenuta Mazzolino
About the Winery
Tenuta Mazzolino, located in the Oltrepò Pavese region, has been owned by the Braggiotti family since 1980. Nestled in the hills near Corvino San Quirico, the estate spans 30 hectares, 20 of which are dedicated to vineyards. Renowned for its dedication to high-quality winemaking, Tenuta Mazzolino focuses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which thrive in the region's unique microclimate. With minimal intervention and a focus on sustainability, the winery has earned recognition for its exceptional wines and strong ties to Burgundy winemaking traditions.
About the Wines
Tenuta Mazzolino’s wines are rooted in the terroir of Oltrepò Pavese, with a focus on Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and native Bonarda. The estate’s flagship wines, "Noir" (Pinot Noir) and "Blanc" (Chardonnay), showcase the skill and dedication applied to vineyard management and winemaking. These wines are crafted with low yields per hectare, careful pruning, and a sustainable approach. The Pinot Noir, in particular, has garnered international recognition for its elegance, complexity, and the prestigious "Tre Bicchieri" award.

Wonderful experience
A super guide
Excellent tasting.
Always include some snacks/a platter with the wine tasting to prevent anyone from driving in a slightly altered state after 4 glasses of wine (the packaged breadsticks are not enough).
Bravo
A wonderful experience
The young woman who welcomed us was very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable... she first showed us the estate, the cellar, and finally had us taste 4 wines accompanied by a beautiful cheese board.
The wines and cheeses were excellent!
If you want to spend a day in the pristine greenery and learn what goes on behind the scenes of wine production, I highly recommend Tenuta Mazzolino.
