Villa Canthus azienda vinicola
About Winery and Wines
Villa Canthus is a small, family-run winery that has been producing clean, honest, and unique wines since 1987. Villa Canthus is the perfect combination of the art of making good wine and a unique territory. The walls of the Villa Veneta are steeped in enthusiasm, patience, and constant commitment to producing, year after year, extraordinary wine.
Located in a region bathed by the Sacred River of the Fatherland, the winery benefits from a unique terroir that allows for the creation of a diverse range of wines to be discovered and appreciated. With grapes harvested exclusively by hand, Villa Canthus offers the opportunity to explore white and red wines from the Triveneto region, including age-worthy varieties such as Raboso del Piave, distinctive wines made from dried grapes like Verduzzo Trevigiano, and sparkling wines produced using the traditional bottle refermentation method.
The grapes arrive at Villa Canthus winery, where the delicate processes of vinification, refinement, and aging take place, all carefully designed to enhance the organoleptic qualities of each wine. Even the bottling and packaging are managed in-house, ensuring a complete production chain marked by meticulous attention to every detail—from grape cultivation in the vineyard to the final bottle, ready to be enjoyed.
Villa Canthus embodies the perfect combination of the art of winemaking and the uniqueness of its territory. The historic walls of the Villa Veneta resonate with enthusiasm, patience, and a steadfast commitment to producing exceptional wines year after year. The rich soil, washed by the Piave River, is laden with clay, sand, and pebbles that impart distinctive characteristics to both the grapes and the final product. This unique terroir, combined with the expertise of Giuliano and his daughter Deborah, who bring generations of winemaking knowledge and passion to each bottle, results in wines that are truly one-of-a-kind.
