A True Hidden Gem

Our visit to this family-run winery was a true highlight of our trip and a memorable experience for the whole family. The tour began with a walk through the stunning estate, where we learned about the different grape varieties and the winemaking process for their exceptional white, rosé, and red wines. The setting is absolutely enchanting—beautifully landscaped grounds, a charming hacienda, and a picturesque inner courtyard filled with flowers and warmth.

Our experience was led by Justine and Lorenzo, the owner and winemaker. Their hospitality was outstanding. They made us feel genuinely welcome and took the time to answer all of our questions with passion and patience. One of the highlights was that Justine spoke French, which allowed our entire family to enjoy the tour in our native language—a thoughtful and much-appreciated touch.

The tour ended with a generous tasting of all their wines—each one delicious and unique. As if that wasn’t enough, Lorenzo’s mother prepared a homemade meal for us, allowing us to pair the wines with incredible local dishes. The experience was elevated even further by their exquisite house-made olive oil, which perfectly showcased the region’s flavors.

This visit was a true favorite for every member of the family. A heartfelt thank you to Justine and Lorenzo for their flawless hospitality. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to all wine lovers and anyone looking to discover the rich culinary heritage of Italy. Bravo!

Absolutely incredible experience. Justine our guide was so friendly, informative and made us feel right at home.

The wine complimented with their cheeses and salami was just unbelievable. Their stories and history of the area, along with all the flavours really blew my mind and kept me engaged the whole way through.

Being the first wine tour for myself I didn’t know what to expect but it may have been my favourite activity for my stay here in Agropoli.

About Winery and Wines

The Marino Agricultural Company, founded in the 1970s, holds a significant place in Campania's viticulture history. The Marino family played a pivotal role in creating the region's first DOP wine. Located in the scenic hills overlooking the Bay of Trentova, at 250 meters above sea level, the vineyards benefit from an ideal terroir. The estate spans 33 hectares, all cultivated according to organic farming regulations. The entire production process, from cultivation to vinification and sale, is meticulously managed by the Marino family, ensuring the highest quality standards. This dedication has fostered a strong relationship of trust with consumers over the years. Today, the legacy is carried forward by the third generation, continuing the family's passion for wine with the same commitment to tradition, sustainability, and innovation.

The Marino family produces exceptional wines that reflect the vibrant character of Campania. Their vineyards cultivate indigenous grape varieties, including Aglianico, Piedirosso, and Fiano. The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo rigorous selection to ensure only the best are used. The wines are then aged in casks made from the finest Cilento oak, chosen to enhance the natural characteristics of each variety. The Marino family's commitment to organic farming and sustainable practices ensures that their wines authentically express the terroir of the region. Each bottle is a testament to the family's dedication to quality and tradition, offering a true taste of Campania's rich viticultural heritage. The wines produced by the Marino family are also vegan, as they use low temperatures to clarify their wines, avoiding the use of animal proteins.
