Ars Vinifera Wine Experience at De Quarto in Salento

The Ars Vinifera wine experience at De Quarto will allow you to delve into the world of Salento's wines and visit the vineyards where the De Quarto wines are born.

After an introduction to the De Quarto winery and production methods, your wine-tasting experience will take place inside the winery's charming wine shop. The tasting includes 5 different wines, each an expression of the territory and the winery's winemaking style, the first 3 to be chosen from white Folium, rosé Corallium, red from Primitivo Lutum, red Negroamaro Bellicum, the last 2 to be chosen from long macerations: white Intenso, Primitivo Dionysos, and Negroamaro Tarantula. Each wine will be paired with a local product such as cheese or cold cuts.

All production at De Quarto is organic and natural, with special attention to quality and in accordance with the traditional winemaking style. After the wine tasting, should you be interested, you will have the opportunity to visit the estate vineyards located in the nearby municipality of Lizzano (about 10km away). Should there be 4 of you, a member of the De Quarto family will accompany you, otherwise you will have to follow them in your own car. During hot days, we recommend that you equip yourselves with what you consider necessary. The tour of the vineyards takes about 45 minutes, including walking time. The experience will be conducted personally by a member of the De Quarto family, who will tell you about the peculiarities of the grape varieties, the history of the vineyards, and local winemaking processes, with a focus on organic and natural methods.
