Here is what's in store for you
Spend one night at Cascina Binè in Novi Ligure, in the heart of the Gavi DOCG area, surrounded by vineyards on the hills of southern Piedmont, within easy reach of Genoa and Turin. The family-run winery and restored farmhouse combine countryside hospitality with a direct introduction to the wines and food traditions of this part of Piedmont.
After check-in, take some time to settle into your room before joining the “Le Selezioni” tasting experience. The visit is led by a member of the Binè family or by Marzia, the estate’s Hospitality Manager, who accompanies you through the vineyards and winery and introduces the estate’s approach to wine production.
The route includes the distinctive amphitheatre-shaped vineyard before continuing into the cellar. The tasting takes place in the garden when the weather is suitable, while in cooler or rainy conditions it moves to the estate’s indoor tasting room.
You then enjoy a guided tasting of 4 Binè wines, selected to introduce the main grapes and styles of the estate. The range is rooted in Cortese, the grape behind Gavi DOCG, and Barbera. Depending on the selection, the tasting can include wines such as the fresh and mineral Gavi DOCG Binè, the more structured single-vineyard Gavi DOCG “11”, or reds such as Ni·Lo Piemonte DOC Barbera and the oak-aged Primo Ottobre Piemonte DOC Barbera.
The wines are accompanied by a selection of Piedmontese specialties that can include Testa in Cassetta, Salamino al Gavi from Tassarolo, Toma Piemontese and Formaggetta delle Capanne.
In the evening, the experience continues with a tasting dinner, giving you more time to enjoy the local cuisine and the atmosphere of your stay at Cascina Binè. The dinner menu is arranged according to the formula selected for the package and may vary depending on seasonality and the menu agreed for the experience.
The following morning, breakfast is included, with continental, Italian, and vegetarian choices is included at Cascina Binè. It may feature fresh fruit juice, homemade cakes, and other sweet and savory items, served before your departure.
