"Essence" private half day tour of Barbaresco from Alba area

Spend a half-day in the Barbaresco hills east of Alba, exploring Treiso and Neive, two villages that offer different perspectives on Nebbiolo within the Barbaresco area. This ESSENZA tour is conceived as an introduction to the denomination through place, moving from the higher slopes around Treiso towards the wines of Neive.

You are collected within the designated Alba, Barolo, Barbaresco, Neive and Roero area and travel between the two wineries by Sprinter with driver.

Your first stop is Agricola Molino in Treiso, where you visit the winery and taste 4 wines, including a Barbaresco DOCG. The tasting introduces the broader wine language of the Langhe, moving through local varieties before reaching Nebbiolo and Barbaresco. A selection of cheeses and cured meats accompanies the wines.

The tour then continues to Cascina Fonda in Neive, where the focus shifts more directly to the wines of this part of the denomination. Here you taste 4 wines: 2 Alta Langa sparkling wines, 1 Barbaresco DOCG and 1 additional wine from the estate’s production.

Across the two wineries, you taste 8 wines in total. The first stop gives you a broader introduction to the varieties and styles of the Langhe, while the second places Barbaresco alongside the estate’s sparkling production, helping you read Nebbiolo within the wider identity of Neive.

By the end of the half-day, the aim is not simply to have tasted Barbaresco, but to understand how the same grape and denomination can be approached through two different villages, Treiso and Neive, within the same wine landscape.
