Vertical Tasting of Four Amarone Vintages at Corte Archi in Valpolicella

Your visit to Corte Archi is hosted by a member of the family: the owners, Fernando and Silvia, or their son Carlo Alberto. The experience begins in the historic cellar, where you'll learn how the estate’s wines mature in large wooden barrels.

Next, you'll see the production area and the 'fruttaio', the traditional room where grapes for Amarone and Recioto are left to dry naturally in a process called 'appassimento'. The tour continues with a short, guided walk into the vineyard to understand the family's approach to viticulture while taking in the views of the Valpolicella countryside.

The tasting takes place under the estate's portico in good weather, or in the indoor tasting room. Here, you will have a guided vertical tasting of four Amarone wines: the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG “Gli Archi” alongside three different vintages of the Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG Selezione. By comparing the vintages, you will discover firsthand how Amarone evolves, from youthful intensity to mature complexity.

The wines are served with 24-month-aged Parmigiano Reggiano, breadsticks, and taralli. If you choose the gourmet option, your tasting will also include a platter of local cured meats and cheeses like Monte Veronese and salami.
