Guided Tour & Valpolicella Wine Tasting with Local Delicacies at Corte Borghetti
Here is what's in store for you
Your experience at Corte Borghetti begins with a member of the Borghetti family, who will lead you on a short walk through the estate’s vineyards. Along the way, you will learn about the Valpolicella Classica terroir, the family’s production philosophy, and the manual grape selection that defines their work.
Back at the estate, the tour continues into the winemaking area to see the different production stages, from crushing and fermentation to the specific techniques for each wine. You will then explore the two-level cellar. The upper floor holds the traditional drying room for the Amarone grapes, while the lower level is where the wines mature in barriques.
The experience concludes in the estate’s 17th-century barrel cellar, a historic space restored as a tasting room. Here, you will taste four wines: Valpolicella Classico DOC, Valpolicella Classico Superiore DOC, Valpolicella Ripasso DOC, and Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG.
The tasting is paired with a platter of local specialties, including fresh caciotta from Lessinia, Monte Veronese, Grana Benedetti, soppressa, coppa, and herb-seasoned porchetta, served with artisanal lime and orange mostarda and honey. You will also taste the estate’s extra virgin olive oil on warm bread, followed by traditional sweets like sbrisolona or dark chocolate. Children are welcome and receive the same platter, served with water or fruit juice.
