Tasting of Veneto and Tuscan Wines at Tenuta Corte Giacobbe in Roncà
Here is what's in store for you
This tasting offers a journey through the two terroirs of the Dal Cero family: their home estate in Veneto and their vineyards in Cortona, Tuscany. Your experience begins at Tenuta Corte Giacobbe, where a hospitality manager will introduce you to the family's history and guide you on a visit to the cellar.
After the tour, you will settle into the estate's tasting room for a guided tasting that crosses regional borders. The selection showcases the family's winemaking approach across different climates and grape varieties, starting with their traditional method sparkling wine and moving through white, rosé, and two structured reds.
You will taste five wines:
- Spumante Brut Metodo Classico Corte Giacobbe: A crisp, dry sparkling wine aged 24-36 months on its lees.
- Soave DOC Roncà Monte Calvarina: A fresh, floral Garganega from the volcanic soil of Monte Calvarina hill.
- Miraly Toscana IGT Rosé: A dry rosé from the family's Tuscan estate, with notes of fresh red fruit.
- Selverello Syrah Cortona DOC: A warm-climate Syrah from Cortona, showing dark fruit and black pepper.
- Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG: A full-bodied red made from dried Corvina, Corvinone, and Rondinella grapes, with notes of dried fruit and cocoa.
