Here is what's in store for you
Spend one night at Opera02 Wine Resort, in the hills of Levizzano di Castelvetro, 30 minutes from Modena and 1 hour from Bologna. Surrounded by vineyards in the homeland of Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, the estate combines a winery, acetaia, resort, and restaurant, offering a taste of Emilia’s most distinctive products: Lambrusco, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, Parmigiano Reggiano, and local cured meats.
Your stay includes the 75 minute Emilia Experience and one hour in the wellness area. A member of the hospitality team will lead you through the winery and introduce the estate’s organic wines, with a focus on Lambrusco Grasparossa. This native red grape, closely linked to the hills of Castelvetro, produces deeply colored sparkling reds with a lively freshness suited to Modenese cuisine. The visit continues in the acetaia, where you will see how Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena is made. In the attic, rows of progressively smaller wooden barrels, the 'batterie', hold the cooked grape must as it slowly evolves over a minimum of twelve years.
In the tasting room, you will sample two Opera02 wines and three balsamic vinegars of different ages, accompanied by Parmigiano Reggiano DOP and focaccia with Prosciutto Crudo di Modena DOP. The tasting includes Opera02 Lambrusco Secco DOP Bio, a fresh sparkling red, and Malbo Gentile Rosso dell’Emilia IGT Bio, a still red with a softer character. Your stay also includes one hour in the wellness area, with a Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, emotional shower, and ice waterfall. In summer, you can also relax by the infinity pool or explore the surroundings with the resort's mountain bikes.
For dinner, you can dine independentlly at the hotel or in the nearby Castelvetro restaurants
The following morning, enjoy breakfast at the resort, with sweet and savoury choices, fresh juices, cakes and biscuits, yogurt, cereals and fruit, before checking out by 10:30 am.
