Cantina Fausta Mansio is one of only three remaining wineries in Syracuse. When all other winegrowers grew only citrus fruits for economic reasons, the current owner's father began growing Sicilian Moscato against the trend. The son inherited the passion with which his father pursued this. Everything he had to tell about the cultivation and the wines revealed precisely this. The Cantina is a small family business with two employees. Accordingly, the estate is idyllically situated on the edge of olive groves. We thoroughly enjoyed all five wines we tasted and the carefully prepared bites that accompanied them, although our personal preferences were for the white wines (Moscato and Grillo).

The guided tasting turned out to be a wonderful discovery: a pleasant, well-structured, and dynamic experience. What truly made the difference was the staff, extraordinarily knowledgeable, welcoming, and able to present each glass with great passion and professionalism. A warmly recommended stop for anyone looking for great wines and a jovial atmosphere on Lake Garda. Moreover, being celiac, they promptly stepped up to source gluten-free products for me. Kudos to Martina because she is extremely knowledgeable and welcoming!

This was one of the most memorable wine tasting experiences we’ve ever had. The wines are superb, but what truly sets this experience apart is the rich history, thoughtful storytelling, and carefully constructed tour. Rather than simply tasting wine, we felt immersed in the culture, traditions, and history behind each bottle, and learned to appreciate the subtle and not so subtle differences between each of their wonderful Nebbiolos. Cristina was exceptional—extremely knowledgeable, warm, and welcoming. Her passion and expertise brought the entire experience to life and made our visit feel both personal and incredibly special. A truly unforgettable experience and an absolute highlight of our time in Piemonte. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

The estate is set among the hills and vineyards of the Langhe, an oasis of tranquility. We were welcomed by the owner, who is young and passionate about the work passed down to her by her family. She showed us the vineyards and the wine production area; at that moment the workers were putting the grapes into the pressing machine, so we witnessed the first part of the process. She explained how they produce their wine, then we returned to the estate where our tasting was waiting for us, which we chose to accompany with cold cuts and cheeses. The platter was generous and the products were excellent. We tasted one of their whites (which we later purchased), the Nebbiolo, the Barbaresco, and the Barolo. We also purchased the Nebbiolo and the Barbera, which I wanted to taste as an extra. In the meantime, the characteristics, ideal pairings, and production areas of the various wines were explained to us. A truly wonderful and interesting experience that is an absolute must-do during a trip to the Langhe, because wine and its production are an essential part of the culture and history of the area. The estate is also a farmhouse.
