We spent an eventful day just outside Barcelona together with our tour guide Michael. After a relaxing train ride and a short walk to the small winery, Michael competently and thoroughly explained the Cava production process to us and led us through the winery. This was concluded by tasting a few varieties of Cava. Afterwards, we enjoyed an excellent lunch. The day ended with a visit to the chocolate factory and the return trip to Barcelona. No question was too much trouble for our guide Michael; he was always friendly and competent. Christian also provided us with valuable information about the daily schedule even before the day trip. We can highly recommend both. Anyone who, like us, wants to enjoy an individual wine tour just outside Barcelona should definitely book this.

It was a wonderful experience! We were welcomed by a very knowledgeable and professional staff member who gave us a tour of the facility, explaining all the steps: from the arrival of the grapes to bottling. They then handed us a picnic basket each (with a bottle of wine of our choice between white and red) and pointed out the spot where we needed to go to enjoy our picnic. Upon arrival, everything was already set up with cushions, etc., beautiful and super relaxing! We were right among the vines! The food in the baskets is filling and very good, especially the cheeses! And the wine of course!

I understand that in a place as touristy as Porto, for the price we paid we couldn't expect someone to be attending to us the whole time during the winery visit, but the thing is I compare it with some wineries in Spain and for that same price not only do they give you an informed tour of the whole winery with an in-person guide for 1 hour, but someone accompanies you throughout the tasting of about 30 minutes and explains the wines clearly, thoroughly and slowly so that the information stays in your mind while you taste the wines. I am aware that I knew it when I booked it, but I expected a better explanation at least in the tasting, but it was literally 1 minute to explain three wines. For that, I might as well ask the waiter at any tavern in Porto, who surely would give me more information about any of the wines. They didn't even tell us the grape variety each wine is made from, nor the fruits or elements that can be found in its flavor; they only told us what the wine was called and what dishes it pairs well with.

It was a very positive experience. Very friendly staff and a truly fantastic place!! A big thank you to the sommelier who accompanied us through both the tasting and dinner!! And at breakfast too, due to force majeure
