Tasting of Native Wines from the Ionian Alto Salento at De Quarto
Here is what's in store for you
Discover the native grape varieties of the Ionian side of Alto Salento with this authentic experience at De Quarto Winery. After a warm welcome and introduction to the winery's philosophy and natural winemaking methods, your wine tasting will begin in the charming on-site wine shop.
You will enjoy a guided tasting of 3 different wines—a white, a rosé, and a red—produced from Primitivo or Negroamaro grapes, all vinified as single varietals. The wines will be paired with locally made taralli, a classic Apulian snack that perfectly complements the tasting.
The entire experience will be conducted by a member of the De Quarto family, who will explain the grape varieties, the story of their vineyards, and the winery’s commitment to organic and natural practices.
