Sommelier-led Tasting of 5 Valpolicella Wines at Fratelli Recchia

One of the estate's two qualified sommeliers will welcome you to the Fratelli Recchia winery in the Valpolicella Classica hills. You'll be introduced to the work of brothers Riccardo and Roberto Recchia, who carry on the family's winemaking tradition in this historic appellation north of Verona.

Depending on the season, the tasting takes place on the estate's terrace or inside the evocative barrel cellar. Your tasting is a guided exploration of the region's key styles, starting with the fresh Garda DOC Spumante Brut Millesimato. You will then move on to the area's classic reds: a Valpolicella DOC Classico Superiore, with its red-cherry fruit, followed by Le Muraie, a Valpolicella Ripasso DOC Classico Superiore that gains body and spice from re-fermentation on Amarone skins.

The flight continues with the estate's flagship, an Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico, pressed from grapes dried through the winter.

The tasting concludes with Korvilot, an intense Rosso Veneto IGT Passito.

Each wine is paired with local artisan breadsticks and taralli, selected to complement the tasting.
