Cantina Monchieri, founded in 2008 by Gian Mario Monchieri and his wife Silvia, is situated in the Camonica Valley, at the foot of the Concarena mountain. The winery is guided by values of respect, protection, and enhancement of the land, which are deeply rooted in the family’s philosophy. The winery was designed to minimize its environmental impact, with the building almost entirely underground and built using local materials such as wood and stone. Additionally, the winery is self-sufficient in terms of energy and features a rainwater recycling system, further reflecting the Monchieri family’s commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. The Camonica Valley, a region traditionally known for its wine production, was the ideal location for Gian Mario and Silvia to contribute to the revitalization and promotion of local viticulture.
