Here at Falezze, we are truly passionate about creating a limited edition of exclusive Valpolicella for those who love and appreciate the finest wines. Our company has been run by the same family for three generations and its history dates back more than eighty-five years. It is located in the municipality of Illasi, in the Valle di Mezzane, in the production area of Valpolicella DOC (PDO – Protected Designation of Origin). Our home and winery is surrounded by hazelnut and oak woods, olive groves and historic vineyards in a unique environment that is ideal for growing vines. Wine has always been made here, and still today we use traditional methods and respect the rhythms of nature and the seasons. From our home, and particularly from the terrace where we have our tastings, we look out over a vast, rolling landscape like no other. It extends all the way from the slopes of the Lessini mountains down to the Po valley.

In 1986 Enzo Marcolini and his wife Carla fell in love with a place that was as magic as rocky and harsh. At this moment our family estate was born. Today, Il Monte Caro is one of those vibrant places to which it is impossible to be indifferent. We work daily on the production of distinctive wines of high quality, which reveal the unique terroir of Mount Caro and our Valpolicella wine region. Our farm is a vibrant ecosystem of seven hectares of vineyards, olive and fruit trees, bees, and wild herbs that surround the winery and the family home. Il Monte Caro is an organic farm where the fine products are the result of sustainable choices and care for Nature, its biodiversity, and soil.

Nel 2002 Dal Bosco Giulietta e Stefano Pizzighella decidono di iniziare a vinificare una piccola parte dei loro 10 ettari di vigneto e produrre così le loro prime bottiglie. Valpolicella Superiore, Amarone della Valpolicella e Recioto della Valpolicella. col tempo incrementare la produzione inserendo nella linea il Valpolicella Ripasso e poi successivamente il loro valpolicella vinificato fresco Tano. per concludere negli ultimi anni con gli ultimi due vini Solitario e Tisbe. Nel 2010 nel frattempo la figlia Noemi Pizzighella inizia a lavorare in azienda e nel 2016 prende in mano la gestione della cantina con un progetto tutto suo "Le Guaite di Noemi" alla ricerca dell'innovazione, maggior attenzione e cura della vigna e della natura.
