At De Bacco, we are Marco and Valentina, siblings who have embraced the challenge of reviving our family’s agricultural legacy under the majestic Dolomites in the province of Belluno. Though we never imagined becoming winegrowers, the call of our steep, rugged land was irresistible. What began as a family passion has grown into a full-fledged commitment to viticulture. Our journey started in 2008 when we took over our grandfather’s small agricultural holding, which had only 2,000 square meters of vineyard at the time. Over the years, with perseverance and dedication, we have expanded to nearly 9 hectares of vineyards, and in 2011, we inaugurated our winery. Our vineyards are nestled in Feltre, under the Dolomites, a region with a rich history of viticulture that dates back to the early 1900s. Despite the challenges faced by this area—wars, emigration, and industrialization— we have chosen to honor the tradition of winemaking in the province of Belluno. By keeping our plots small, we ensure that the breathtaking landscape remains unaltered, allowing us to produce wines that are a true expression of our unique territory. Our commitment is to reclaim what was lost and to share the distinctive wines that our beautiful land in the Dolomites can produce.
