5 An Unforgettable Visit to Villa Redona (Leigh)We had a wonderful time on the vineyard tour at Villa Redona. We visited as a group of three and thoroughly enjoyed the experience from start to finish. The tour was informative and gave us a real insight into the vineyard and the wines they produce. What made it especially memorable was the opportunity to explore the beautiful villa, which made it feel very different from any other vineyard tour we've been on. The wine tasting at the end featured wines produced exclusively by the vineyard, paired with a delicious selection of cheeses. It was the perfect way to round off the visit and gave us the chance to really appreciate the vineyard's own wines. A special mention goes to the guide who led the entire experience, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel very welcome throughout. We'd highly recommend Villa Redona to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable vineyard experience.

5 Excellent and friendly reception (Simon)Easy access by both car and bus from Bergamo. As we were only 2 couples everything felt very personal. Exceeded the allocated time by at least 30 mins. Brief but sufficient viewing of the cellars before we were served a small platter of cheese, salami and bread together with 4 wine samplings, narrated by the co-owner of the winery.

Emanuel was a great host, he taught us a lot about the history of the house, the process of making the wine and gave us some local cheese and meets to have with the wine. We bought 4 bottles, and we would have bought more if we had the room! Definitely recommend if you want to do something a bit different!

5 Wine Tasting at Its Finest: An Experience That Captivated the Whole Group (Jari)The entire experience was excellently organized, and we felt truly welcome. Sara skillfully structured the visit so that both the informative and experiential parts were seamlessly intertwined. At the same time, a coherent story emerged—from the growth of the grape (and tasting it) through the winemaking process, all the way to the tasting glasses. I’ve been to several similar tasting events at different estates, and this one was by far the most comprehensive. Enough time was allocated so that there was no sense of rush. A wonderful experience!

5 Medolago Albani (Lindsay)We had a most wonderful visit. We opted for the tour of the villa and wine tasting. The proprietor gave care and attention to the tour in these magnificent surroundings. He provided an historical overview and context of wine making in the region. The tasting was perfect, alongside the wine we enjoyed local cheese. This was the first time we had tried wine from the region before. Due to back- packing we could only purchase 3 bottles of riserva. This tour can be highly recommended, thank you.

5 Wonderfully hospitable (Ryan)After arriving my wife and I were a little bit confused and a little worried about which way to go, but once we spoke with the gentleman on the phone who directed us up the hill, we were treated to first class service and hospitality. Paired with the wine fever treated to local cheeses and encourage to relax and save the taste of each selection. We felt like we were being welcomed into a friends home. We wound up buying three bottles from the experience and left feeling very satisfied and happy. Touring the villa was like touring a museum with wonderful frescoes excellent statues of the Roman gods along with a chapel to the 15th century. Booking was easy and the day trip to Bergamo was totally worth it from Milan. I wish I could leave a 10 glass review!

I booked this winery tour as a birthday gift for my partner — we are both passionate about wine and wanted to see a vineyard up close and learn more about the winemaking process. The tour was led by a member of the Medolago Albani family, whose winemaking tradition dates back to the 16th century. He was extremely welcoming, spoke excellent English, and created a fantastic, relaxed, and cheerful atmosphere. It felt like visiting friends rather than just taking part in a formal tour. We are especially grateful that he took the time to guide us even though it was just the two of us. We visited the historic family chapel, the atmospheric cellar, and the vineyards. Our guide explained the entire winemaking process in detail — from grape to bottle. He covered different wine types, production techniques, and factors that influence color, taste, and aroma. His explanations were easy to follow, even for beginners, yet informative enough for those with more knowledge about wine. We had the chance to see the traditional oak barrels, concrete tanks, and even observe sediment in bottles — a rare opportunity to witness authentic production methods. The entire tour was fascinating, educational, and truly memorable. The experience ended with an exceptional wine tasting. All the wines were of outstanding quality — refined, expressive, and full of character. These were not typical, commercial wines — each bottle had its own distinctive personality, with rich, complex aromas that made the tasting a true pleasure for the senses. It was a privilege to taste Valcalepio DOC wines directly from the source, especially knowing that not every winery in the region can claim that prestigious designation. The tasting included sparkling wine, a white wine, and two distinct reds, showcasing the diversity of their production. I particularly enjoyed the aroma guessing game, which made the experience interactive and fun. We had plenty of time to enjoy the wines, accompanied by delicious local cheese and crispy bread. What impressed me most was not only the depth of knowledge and hospitality but also the remarkable quality of the wines themselves. I truly hope they expand their exports — these wines deserve global recognition.

The villa is beautiful and historic, the host Emanuele was welcoming, knowledgeable, generous and gave us a great tour in English. The wines were very, very good and the room in which we did our tasting was fabulous. Even the taleggio cheese was delicious! The whole afternoon was very relaxing, Emanuele never pressured us to leave and we had lots of time to taste the wines. It was just the best experience. We would highly recommend. 5 Almost heaven! (Cathrine)We came for a one-hour guided wine tour... and ended up staying for five! That should tell you everything. The Villa is absolutely beautiful—peaceful, elegant, and full of charm. The wines were all delicious ranging from red,white,rose to the sparkling wine (we definitely took a few bottles home), and the atmosphere made it hard to leave. Our guide was knowledgeable and sweet. He made the whole experience feel personal and special. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Medolago Albani. It’s a hidden gem and an experience you won’t forget. We are definitely coming back to visit!

5 Wonderful winery (Brittany)The winery is beautiful and the people there are lovely. We enjoyed our guided tour and tasting. The cheese to pair with the wines was perfect. The wines are top quality and you can tell they have pride in the quality. Our guide gave us local food recommendations and after we finished our tasting, we walked down to their restaurant, A Tavola Con Ciccio, where we enjoyed a beautiful lunch. I highly recommend this place!

It was a slight miscommunication between the vendor and booking but, it was solved on place without any issue! Fantastic tour, great information about both history surrounding the wine yard and their wine making. Our host was amazing and even took the time to sit down to talk with us. Fantastic wine, some of the best I’ve tasted to be honest. Really worth the time and money! We’ll live off this experience for a long time and definitly come back when we return to Bergamo!

We received a wine tour and an extensive tasting of 4 wines, with complementary cheese and some breadsticks. The tasting was very fun and we were allowed to stay much longer and enjoy the wines! The owner was very kind and we had a good laugh together. After the tasting it was dark and we were the only people left, so the owner even drove us (2 girls) to the train station so we didn't have to take the bus, very very kind.
