The Cantina del Mandrolisai is located in Sorgono, a village in the Mandrolisai area, in the center of Sardinia, an area with a strong vocation for agriculture, with cultivars such as Cannonau, Monica and Muristellu, which produce full-bodied, deep red wines with great personality, perfectly embodying the spirit of this land. The winery takes its name from the Mandrolisai region, one of the most inland regions of Sardinia and one of the most famous of the island's traditional wine-producing areas. The wine vocation of Mandrolisai comes from its particular geographical characteristics, with high hillside soils, sunny and magnificently exposed. The climate, characterized by little rain and a long summer, also contributes to the success of the wines, guaranteeing the perfect ripening of the grapes even in the coolest years. The traditional quality and uniqueness of the area's wines have led to Mandrolisai becoming one of the Sardinian DOC wines. The Cantina Sociale del Mandrolisai today produces a range of mainly red wines, but also white and rosé wines. The wines are clearly distinguished by their structure, some of which are matured for a long time in oak barrels.
