About Winery and Wines

The Ladogana family have been making wine for four generations and represent one of the
pioneer firms in the production of certified organic wine in Apulia where, since 1996, they’ve grown
grapes only from the vineyards on their own property.
Agricola Ladogana s.r.l. was founded in 2006 with the goal of keeping tradition alive and
passing down the precious techniques and the production skills that the family have been gathering
over years of experience, research and passionate work in the winemaking industry.
In 2011 a new winery was built to strengthen their mission: adopting excellence in production
standards in order to offer certified wine of superior quality.
The winery is located in the countryside around the town of Orta Nova, in an area called Passo
d’Orta, in Northerm Apulia. It spans a surface of 2,100 m2 , and is composed of three different areas
designed for production, refinement and bottling.
Having control over the entire production chain makes it possible to select and harvest grapes
only when perfectly ripe and to adopt wine-making techniques that are able to preserve the integrity,
quality, scents and aromas of the magnificent grape bunches.
60PASSI. THE WINERY OF STORIES
A man’s footsteps, passion and effort to tend to the soil introduce the history of this
trademark. Sixty Neapolitan steps, equal to about 111 meters, is the measure of the width of the
Tratturi Regi, the ancient roads in Southern Italy used to make the seasonal migrations.
The name is a tribute to the ancient origins of Passo d’Orta, the village where the winery is
located, a crossroads for people and stories.

The production of organic wine requires dedication and passion, values that guide us during the in purity cultivation of our Nero di Troia, Negroamaro, Primitivo, Fiano, Syrah, Aglianico and Chardonnay vineyards.

24 hectares of land totally tilled in espalier with organic method and Apulian vines extending to Passo d’Orta, a place that has a limestone terroir with a lot of fragments and a flat lay.

Our wines tell a centenary story linked to the city of Orta Nova, in the heart of Tavoliere delle Puglie area, and the production is divided into two lines of the highest quality: 60PASSI and Le selezioni.
