Alberto Fiori - Valdamonte vini

The Valdamonte winery owns 21 hectares of land, 15 of which are planted with vines in the municipalities of Santa Maria della Versa and Rovescala in Oltrepò Pavese, Lombardy. The winery is located at a medium altitude on the hills of the Versa Valley in Valdamonte, one of the many hamlets near the town of Santa Maria della Versa.
The main grapes grown are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Croatina, and Barbera.

Our vineyard management practices include: Guyot pruning (12 buds per cane) and grass cover-cropping. We aim at reducing the production of grapes per vine and preventing the erosion of the soil and the loss of its precious organic substances. We’ve been using only copper and sulphur for anti-fungal treatments and pyrethrum for anti-insect treatments for several years now.

In 2017, we opened our agriturismo to let you taste our wines paired with local salumi and cheese, and traditional cuisine. The agriturismo is run by Carola, Alberto’s wife.

Valdamonte winery's vineyards are all located on the top of the hills at an altitude between 300 and 370 m AMSL. This peculiarity gives marked fresh and sapid sensations to our wines. The main grapes grown are Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling (Renano), Croatina, and Barbera.
