About Winery and Wines
For generations, the historic Scamperle family of winemakers, owners of the Le Salette winery, have dedicated themselves to the cultivation of grapes and, over the years, have gradually increased the number of vineyards, always respecting nature and following its production cycles in order to bring out the originality and characteristics of the native grapes. Since the times of the Magna Graecia, terracotta amphorae have been used to preserve wine. Today they are handmade in Impruneta (Tuscany) and are perfect for storing and ageing wines, protecting them from oxidation.
The objective of the Le Salette winery has always been quality, shared by the whole family. Today they own twenty hectares of cultivated land, located among the most renowned places of Valpolicella Classica DOC: Fumane Cà Carnocchio, I Progni and Cà Melchiori, Sant'Ambrogio Conca D'Oro and San Floriano Monte Masua. The grapes produced are the most classic of the area: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, Oseleta, a small quantity of Molinara and Croatina.
