Azienda Agricola Sgreva

Winery in Lake Garda, Lugana

About the Winery

Azienda Agricola Sgreva is a family-owned winery located in the picturesque town of Sirmione, on the southern shores of Lake Garda. Established in 1962, the winery has a rich history that is now being carried forward by the third generation of winemakers, Giacomo and Vanessa. Their passion for viticulture is deeply rooted in the land, and they are committed to preserving the legacy of their ancestors while embracing innovation to continuously improve the quality of their wines.

At Azienda Agricola Sgreva, every stage of the production process is meticulously managed and overseen by the owners, ensuring that each bottle reflects the highest standards of quality. The unique terroir of Sirmione, characterized by its clay-rich soils and the influence of the nearby lake, plays a crucial role in shaping the distinct flavors of their wines. Visitors to the winery can expect to experience a deep connection to the land, history, and the meticulous craftsmanship that defines this exceptional estate.

About the Wines

Azienda Agricola Sgreva spans 18 hectares of vineyards, producing approximately 120,000 bottles of wine annually. Each bottle is crafted to express the essence of the Sirmione terroir, where the combination of clayey soil, lake breezes, and decades of expertise come together to create something truly unique. The winery’s flagship wines are made exclusively from Turbiana grapes, a variety that is emblematic of the region and central to the production of their most distinguished labels, "Eufrasia" and "Sirmio," both of which proudly bear the Lugana DOC denomination.

In addition to these renowned white wines, Azienda Agricola Sgreva also produces the Riviera del Garda Bresciano DOC Chiaretto "Rosabèl," a rosé that embodies the freshness and elegance of the region. The winemaking process here is a blend of tradition and innovation, with the owners continually experimenting and refining their techniques to bring out the best in their grapes. Alongside these traditional offerings, the winery produces several other wines that showcase the diversity and potential of the local terroir, making every sip a journey through the rich landscape of Lake Garda.

Pleasant discovery
Tasting as a couple, a small winery with some interesting aspects. Besides good wine, the tasting also included very interesting local cured meats and cheeses. The welcome was top-notch

Fantastic experience
Chiara was a super guide! We had a lot of fun chatting with her. It was a very interesting experience: the wines we tasted were all excellent. As an accompaniment, they served us some cured meats and cheeses with bread and oil produced by them. Everything was very good. The tasting lasted about 2 hours.

Convivial
Tenuta Sgreva, a small wine-producing reality, welcoming and clean. We tasted two whites and two reds plus a fifth wine of our choice, all excellent. The food: 2 types of cheese accompanied by salami, Parma ham and coppa with giardiniera, plus toasted bread with their own production of extra virgin olive oil, excellent, wildflower honey from a local producer and olive pâté. A very satisfying experience, it lasted about 2 hours, we were 3 couples. In the end we bought 6 bottles between white and red and 2 tins of oil.

Great Wine Tasting
It was a very wonderful afternoon. Everything was explained and shown to us wonderfully. We were impressed.
Unfortunately, we couldn't try the sparkling wine. A shame.

Tasting with the family
We enjoyed the visit to the winery, the detailed explanation of the processes and of course the tasting accompanied by a delicious platter of cold cuts and bread with oil. I highly recommend the tasting at this winery.

Authentic and amazing experience!
Gorgeous family run vineyard, friendly and knowledgeable hosts and lovely wine. We had an amazing time and would recommend so much. Also there was zero pressure to buy any of the wine (though you’ll want to of your own free will by the end!)
Let them know at the beginning of any dietary requirement (vegan / veggie) so they can prowl for that :)

A great experience!!!
As for our first wine tasting tour, we were not disappointed,
the guide took extra time to explain from the production to the wine tasting and was kind enough to give us extra information as well,
the wines were amazing, and on top of that we tasted local cured meats, cheese and olive oil,
if you want an intimate experience, this is the place for you
