Baglio Bonsignore

Winery in Valley of the Temples

About the Winery

We are Debora and Luigi, along with our three children—Simone, Pietro, and Carlo—and we have fulfilled our dream of producing quality wines from our own vineyards. Our journey began in 2016 when we fell in love with this estate and embarked on a mission to plant vineyards, craft excellent wines, and build a winery. Our project also includes a refined hotel relais, where we warmly welcome our guests. Combining Debora’s experience in the family winery with Luigi’s management skills, we are dedicated to tradition while looking forward to the future.

About the Wines

At Baglio Bonsignore, we cultivate our land with love and care, focusing on producing high-quality wines that reflect our passion and dedication. Our vineyards, planted with a deep respect for tradition and a forward-looking vision, are the foundation of our wine-making philosophy. Each bottle we produce is a testament to our commitment to excellence, rooted in the unique terroir of our estate. We believe that our wines carry the story of our family, our hard work, and the land we cherish.

Unique personal experience - amazing hosts
We attended Baglio Bonsignore for my wife’s birthday. We were treated so well, with wine tasing - DIRECT FROM THE VATS…and formal tasting. The hostess Deborah was amazing - we learnt the history and the process…roped with some amazing wines. We will be repeat customers! Thank you
Sparking wine will be released 2026! Reds are so good…

Wonderful
Great place. The owners are very kind, welcoming and very thoughtful. The tour of the vineyard is very interesting because there is a history with this vineyard. The tasting is excellent, with real meals that are served to us and they are delicious. You will leave this tour fulfilled.
A must-do. Best vineyard tour and plus, she speaks French.

Thoroughly enjoyable exprience
Our group of four had a thoroughly enjoyable experience at our wine and food sampling experience at Baglio Bonsignore. I'm not sure if it was because we were there "off season" (late May) or because our group was small, but the personal touches and attentive service were excellent. AND the wine was excellent, sampling their white, rose, and red. I must admit, I'm not a fan of dry whites, but those in our group who were, thoroughly enjoye their white. As far as their Nero d'Avola is concerned, it was definitely my favorite. And we ALL liked their rose. Since I've been able to buy and ship some of their wines home, I expect I'll maintain contact with this winery, thus leading to future visits. Yes, I would thoroughly recommend this experience to anyone traveling in their region of Sicily.
DO THIS! Baglio Bonsignore is a small family owned and operated organic winery that grows grapes and makes their wines the way they should be, in small batches with tenderness and expertise. I would definitely recommend enjoying any of their food and wine tasting combinations and be sure to contact them about any dietary restrictions. They were more than willing to accommodate these.

More than Excellent
We arrived at 9:30 as directed by our reservation via Winedering- which is wrong- their brunch tasting does not start until noon. However, the hosts/owner graciously took us on a tour of his vineyard property, meticulously explained the region and wine making, then took us into Naro for a Quick look around the town/castle (their Baroque tour). When we arrived back to the house, our brunch experience awaited. We were led to the upstairs patio to a lovely set table. The food was absolutely wonderful, and the wine!!! The wine is absolutely divine. Great descriptions for our tastings. We even ordered a case to be shipped home. Such a wonderful couple who run the winery, they really made our first day in Sicily a special memory. Thank you!
Hard to find, not great via Google maps and no real signage. Road to house is really rough!

Wonderful experience at Baglio Bonsignore!
My parents and I had an amazing experience at Baglio Bonsignore! The wines were delicious and our host Luigi was most welcoming and informative. Plus, the lunch was one of the best we had our whole trip and paired perfectly with the incredible wines! An unexpected delight!
A suggestion for winedering.com: Including the address in the confirmation email would be very helpful. Trying to use google maps to find our way, we accidentally ended up first at the winery’s business address rather than the actual vineyard.
