Bodegas Telperion
About the Winery
Bodegas Telperion is an artisanal winery located in Tudela de Duero, in the heart of the province of Valladolid, a land deeply rooted in winemaking tradition between Ribera del Duero and Rueda. Our project is driven by a clear philosophy: to produce wines with soul, respecting the biodiversity of Castilla and working with minimal intervention. Our vineyards, planted with Tempranillo and Verdejo, are cultivated in bush vines (vaso) and dry-farmed conditions on unique plots such as Hoyo del Lobo and El Zurrón, at altitudes of up to 810 meters. Sandy and calcareous soils, combined with an extreme continental climate, give rise to wines with strong personality. Every step—from manual harvest to spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts—is guided by craftsmanship, passion, and respect for the land.
About the Wines
At Bodegas Telperion, we produce limited, high-quality wines that express the purity of our vineyards. Our reds are crafted from old-vine Tempranillo, with ultra-low yields that ensure concentration and depth. Wines like TELPERION 2023 (91 Peñín) offer freshness and vibrant fruit, while TELPERION 2021 (92 Peñín) delivers complexity, with notes of dried plum, spices, and balsamic nuances after extended aging. Our whites highlight the potential of Verdejo, such as EL RAYO QUE NO CESA 2023 (91 Peñín), a structured and expressive wine aged in damajuanas, and EL RAYO EN RAMA 2024 (89 Peñín), a natural wine with no added sulphites, unfiltered and vibrant. The “En Rama” line embodies our purest philosophy: wines without manipulation, authentic, fresh, and alive.
