BODEGA CAMPO ELISEO FRANÇOIS LURTON
(Winery in Valladolid)
Provides 2 wine tastings and winery visit from €20.00
Bodegas Campo Elíseo is an exceptional winery that masterfully blends visionary innovation with deep-rooted tradition. Established in 2016, Campo Elíseo is located in the heart of La Seca, a town steeped in history and soul. The winery is housed in a beautifully restored manor house, which has been transformed into the center of their winemaking operations.
One of the most remarkable features of Campo Elíseo is its impressive network of underground galleries, situated ten meters below the surface. Originally part of the manor house, these galleries were carefully restored under the direction of François Lurton and the Rolland family, transforming them into an underground cellar. This unique space, with its naturally cool temperature of around 12°C, offers an ideal environment for the slow and balanced maturation of their wines, even when the outside temperatures soar above 40°C.
In addition to the historic galleries, a modern building was constructed opposite the manor house to receive and press the grapes. The underground cellar houses not only barrels and foudres but also ovoid concrete tanks, all contributing to the distinct character of Campo Elíseo's wines.
This atypical winery exemplifies a perfect harmony between the old and the new, creating a space where history and modernity coexist to produce wines of exceptional quality.
BODEGAS VIRTUS
(Winery in Valladolid)
Provides 1 wine tasting and winery visit from €25.00
Bodegas Virtus was born from two passions: horses and wine. Founded in 1986 by Paloma Escribano in Ribera del Duero, this boutique winery has been a pioneer in sustainability and chemical-free winemaking, making Paloma one of the first female viticulturists in the region. Today, her son, Iñigo López de la Osa Escribano, leads the winery, which operates with a focus on family tradition, sustainable viticulture, and the unique microclimate of the Duratón River. The connection between horses and wine is deeply rooted in the family's history, offering visitors an experience rich in tradition and elegance.
Bodegas Emilio Moro
(Winery in Valladolid)
Provides 5 wine tastings and winery visit from €58.00
The history of Bodegas Emilio Moro stretches across four generations of passion and dedication to winemaking. The story begins in 1891 with the birth of Emilio Moro, the grandfather of the third generation, in Pesquera de Duero, Valladolid, a region now famous for its viticulture. He passed on his love for the land and wine to his son, also named Emilio Moro, born in 1932, who continued the family tradition.
Through perseverance and commitment, the family maintained their vineyards even through difficult periods, such as the Spanish Civil War, when many others abandoned viticulture. Instead of following the trend of planting cereals, Emilio Moro chose to preserve the vines, laying the groundwork for the success of the winery today.
Over the years, the family planted key vineyards such as Pago de Valderramiro in 1924 and Finca Resalso in 1932, further expanding with the addition of Pago de Sanchomartín in 1964. These vineyards produce some of the most notable wines in the Malleolus range.
Now led by the third generation—Javier, Rubi, and Fabiola Moro—the winery continues to thrive, producing exceptional wines that reflect the family's deep connection to the land. Javier, as president, brings his lifelong experience in the vineyards, Rubi focuses on finance, and Fabiola leads the enotourism efforts, welcoming visitors and sharing the family’s rich winemaking history.
At the heart of Bodegas Emilio Moro is a shared belief that wine is not just a product, but an art form—one that speaks to those who listen closely. This philosophy, rooted in the values passed down by their parents Emilio Moro and Felisa Espinosa Castaño, continues to guide the family’s journey, ensuring the legacy of Bodegas Emilio Moro endures for future generations.

Tovar Bodega de Bodegas
(Winery in Valladolid)
Provides 2 wine tastings and winery visit from €15.00
Tovar Winery epitomizes three words: Singularity, Timelessness, and Devotion.
Located in the heart of Trigueros del Valle, along the Cigales Wine Route, the estate's passion and purpose are rooted in the countryside, the vineyards, and the terroir. Tovar is deeply committed to environmental sustainability and to preserving its rich heritage. As a small, traditional family winery in the vast world of wine, Tovar tells its story through century-old vineyards and historic underground cellars.
The winery’s legacy begins with a child joyfully exploring his grandfather’s winery, learning the art of viticulture from his parents, and absorbing the love and respect passed down from his grandparents. These grandparents embody wisdom, affection, and a deep respect for the land, the vines, and the varietal diversity that defines the winery’s heritage. Today, that child, now grown, is Juan, working alongside his sister María to continue their family’s tradition while charting a new path for the future.
Tovar Winery is a living testament to tradition, with vineyards planted by generations past, each telling its own story. The winery's five underground cellars in Trigueros del Valle reflect its architectural diversity, just as the vineyards reveal a rich varietal tapestry.
Tovar's vineyards, which date back to 1869, feature diverse soils that impart a unique character to each wine. Among the red varieties, Tempranillo is predominant, complemented by Garnacha, Garnacha Tintorera, Mencía, Merenzao, Morate, Sanguine, and others. The white varieties include Albillo Mayor, Castellana Blanca, Verdejo, Alarije, Jerez, Moscatel, and more. Together with the extreme climate and organic farming practices, these elements create the distinctiveness and depth of Tovar wines.
Pago de Carraovejas
(Winery in Valladolid)
Provides 2 wine tastings and winery visit from €62.00
Founded in the 1970s, Pago de Carraovejas originated from a dream by José María Ruiz to craft exceptional wine in the heart of Ribera del Duero, a region known for its rich winemaking potential. With an initial nine hectares, the project quickly grew, with the goal of becoming a benchmark in Spanish winemaking. In 2007, a new chapter began under the leadership of Pedro Ruiz, focusing on sustainability, innovation, and enotourism. Today, Pago de Carraovejas is more than just a winery; it's a symbol of excellence and dedication to creating unforgettable experiences around wine. The team's philosophy combines innovation with tradition, continually improving to craft authentic wines that reflect the unique character of the region.
Bodegas Protos
(Winery in Valladolid)
The new Protos winery facility is located at an interesting historical crossroads: the extension of the Camino de las Eras and the San Pedro sheep drove road, an ancient Roman road. It is on the edge of a low-lying area that, in the past, was partially covered by a small pond fed by waters from the nearby Botijas stream. It is also located quite near the existing winery facilities, connected to them via an underground link, and buried into the Peñafiel Castle hill.
The project was conceived as a contemporary reinterpretation of traditional wine cellar construction in the region. On the one hand, the base of the building is excavated into the land, reminiscent of wine cellar construction methods that have been used since time immemorial in the Peñafiel Castle hillside. With this reference in mind, and for practical reasons that are commonplace to vernacular architecture in relation to making the best use of the lower temperatures underground, most of the facilities used in the preparation and aging of wine are buried underground.
On the other hand, the aboveground structure, technically known as the “light structure”, is a reinterpretation of vault-shaped winery construction methods. This structure is made of parabolic arches of laminated wood. The shape and materials were chosen because they are structurally efficient and appropriate for the production process, as traditional winery construction has taught us.
Bodegas Legaris
(Winery in Valladolid)
The first vine stock was planted in 1999. The Legaris vineyard grows the varieties of Tinto Fino (Tempranillo) and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is committed to high quality raw materials and viticulture: uniformity among vines, healthy plants, limited plant growth, small clusters and berries, concentration of colour and aromatic precursors.
The winery´s viticultural team carries out strict biological controls to ensure plants and selected rootstock are virus-free. To complement the winery´s own grapes, it also chooses grapes and plots from local suppliers. As this zone is located at the limit of the vine-growing area, it´s important to use grapes from a range of different zones in the Ribera de Duero as it would be too risky to concentrate production in just one area. As a result, the final wines gain in complexity, employing different training systems for the vines (goblet and trellis) and a range of vine ages and soil types.
Cepa 21
(Winery in Valladolid)
Bodegas Cepa 21 is the new ambitious project headed by the Moro family, the owners of Bodegas Emilio Moro, one of the most emblematic wineries in the Ribera del Duero.
This project has aimed to build a modern, functional, minimalist new winery drawing on the savoir-faire acquired over the years by several generations of the Moro family in the making of modern-style wines. The Moro brothers, José and Javier, wanted to bring some of their best friends into the project and get them to experience some of the thrills and excitement of being part of the world of wine. The winery, which nestles in the middle of fifty hectares (around 124 acres) of its own Tinto Fino vines (the purest Tempranillo clone), is modern and equipped to bring out the very best of one of the finest varietals in the world.
This new wine, Cepa 21, is aimed at consumers who have the expertise and open-mindedness to discover new tasting characteristics and who also appreciate the subtlety and elegance of a wine that is soft and sweet on the palate with bold aromatics. Cepa 21 is the pure expression of the wine-making revolution that has been taking place in our country over the last few years.
