Bortolomiol Spa

Winery in Valdobbiadene, Prosecco, Cartizze

About the Winery

Bortolomiol was founded in 1949 by Giuliano Bortolomiol in Valdobbiadene, Veneto, at the heart of the prestigious Prosecco Superiore DOCG zone. Today, the winery is run by Giuliano’s four daughters, who continue their father’s legacy by focusing on high-quality Prosecco and promoting sustainable agriculture. They honor their roots through projects like restoring the Parco della Filandetta and supporting humanitarian efforts, such as Wine for Life. Their passion for territory and tradition remains central to their winemaking.

About the Wines

Bortolomiol is renowned for its Valdobbiadene DOCG Prosecco Superiore, with the flagship Cuvée Del Fondatore exemplifying their commitment to quality. This single-vineyard, millesimato wine is crafted from San Pietro di Barbozza vines, reflecting the distinct terroir of the region. With a deep connection to the land, Bortolomiol focuses on sustainable vineyard management, regularly collaborating with growers to enhance production methods and ensure the finest expression of their Prosecco.

An experience to recommend
A super positive experience, we found a modern but very familiar location and atmosphere. We were guided by Aurora, extremely professional and knowledgeable, who made us feel like a living part of the tasting experience, also leaving us alone at times to be able to share the selection of proposed wines in complete freedom. Truly something to do again and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to combine quality with familiarity. Excellent choice.
Let the staff advise you on the choice of wines to sample during the tasting. You can really have some nice surprises for your taste buds.

Picturesque
The winery we decided to visit, complete with a nature tour through the rows of vines, turned out to be decidedly interesting. The first tasting among the greenery was also unexpected; consistent with the theme of the tour, it is certainly impactful.
A very well-organized winery that was worth seeing.
the tasting was definitely up to expectations

A perfect mix of kindness and professionalism
The location is one of those places where everything is perfectly in its place, from the convenient parking to the tasting room where you can breathe the passion and history of Bortolomiol, from the private park full of sculptures to the shop where you can neatly buy the products you tasted.
The welcome is as if the owner himself were giving it, and our guide was simply perfect, in a mix of kindness, expertise, elegance, and discretion.
We were offered 6 glasses of wine, one in the park and another 5 in the tasting room, along with a platter of local cheese. Furthermore, when we asked to taste two wines again, they did not hesitate.
With a convenient QR code printed on the placemat where you do the tasting, you can access the shop's price list, so you can also get an idea of the prices before going to buy.
In short, a positive experience recommended for both novices and seasoned drinkers.
Excellent wines and a 10/10 for passion and history.
The only drawback: the winery tour part is very skimpy, also because the second fermentation part is missing. It would be nice to see or understand a few more steps.

Great experience with wonderful history
What a wonderful day my sister and i had at Bortolomiol Vineyard, the young lady who took us round was enthusiastic and knowledgable. The prosecco as top notch and we could not have asked for any more. One of my best experiences during my many travels throughout Italy.

Excellent introduction to prosecco
I found the winery tour very interesting, well-structured and with professional and kind staff.
The explanations were always pleasant and captivating, the tastings were also excellent, with suitable explanations and materials. Great honesty in not overloading the day with overly professional tastings that could have become cloying. Diamante, the girl who accompanied us, truly a pleasant professional.
The only suggestion I can offer is to vary the snacks that accompany the tasting a bit.

Good wines and a visit to Filandetta
In October of this year (2020) we visited the Filandetta of the Bortolomiol winery.
Guided tour in the production cellar and of the art exhibition, the amphitheater, and we tasted their main wines.
A very interesting and rich tasting, not only of wines: we also tasted local cured meats and cheeses.
5-star welcome.
