Cantina Menegola
About the Winery
Between rock and sky: the Nebbiolo of Valtellina like you have never encountered it.
There is a corner of Valtellina where vineyards have been climbing the mountainside for over a century, supported by stone terraces that defy steepness. It is here, in the Sassella area, that Walter Menegola and his brothers have chosen to make wine in the most authentic way possible: manual work, no synthetic products, minimal technology, and absolute respect for nature’s timing.
Cantina Menegola is not a large winery. It is a family, 6 hectares of vineyards, and the conviction that Chiavennasca — the Nebbiolo of the Alps — has a unique voice, capable of telling the story of the mountains like no other grape variety.
