About Winery and Wines
Cantina Monsignore is a family-run winery located in Fasano, Puglia, with deep roots in olive oil production since 1955. The third generation of the Barnaba family—Donato (commercial manager) and Giovanni (winemaker)—has transformed their passion for wine into a thriving venture. The winery exclusively cultivates native grape varieties such as Primitivo, Negroamaro, Verdeca, and Susumaniello, within the IGP Salento and IGP Valle d’Itria denominations. The entire production process, from grape pressing to bottling, is meticulously carried out in-house, ensuring the highest quality and authenticity. Visitors are invited to explore the winery and indulge in tasting experiences that showcase the true essence of Puglia's rich viticultural heritage.
At Cantina Monsignore, we are dedicated to producing wines that embody the unique characteristics of Puglia's indigenous grape varieties. Our portfolio includes:
Primitivo: A robust red wine known for its rich flavors and velvety texture.
Negroamaro: A deeply colored red wine offering complex aromas and a balanced palate.
Verdeca: A fresh and aromatic white wine with vibrant acidity.
Susumaniello: A rare red variety delivering unique flavor profiles and elegance.
Our commitment to preserving the distinctiveness of each variety is reflected in our conservative winemaking techniques, which aim to maintain their inherent qualities. Each bottle tells the story of our land, our traditions, and our unwavering passion for winemaking.
