Cantina Rotaliana is located in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, at the foot of the breathtaking Dolomites, near the renowned Garda Lake and the city of Trento.
Our winery is a wine-cooperative with more than 90 years of history and we bring together the expertise and know-how of five generations of winegrowers, who are passionate about farming wine grapes in Trentino, in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana and other finest vineyard areas of our region (Valle dell’Adige, Non e Cembra).

Cantina Rotaliana is rooted in the heart of the Piana Rotaliana, the birthplace of Teroldego, a unique and noble grape often referred to as the Prince of Trentino wines. This variety finds its ideal habitat exclusively on the western slope of the Piana Rotaliana, an ancient plain shaped by glacial activity. The Noce River carried pebbles and mineral-rich sediments to this area, creating a soil that imparts freshness, intensity, and elegance to the wines.
Teroldego received D.O.C. status in 1971, a recognition of its exceptional character and historical importance. It is the foundation of Cantina Rotaliana’s identity, yielding versatile wines that reflect the strength and refinement of their terroir.
Alongside Teroldego, the Piana Rotaliana also supports the cultivation of other red grape varieties such as Lagrein, Cabernet, and Merlot, all of which thrive in this unique microclimate.
Cantina Rotaliana is equally renowned for its elegant white wines and Trentodoc sparkling wines. These are produced from grapes grown on the hills surrounding the plain and in the Val di Cembra and Val di Non, regions known for their high-altitude vineyards. The combination of excellent sun exposure, pure mountain air, and sharp diurnal temperature variation enhances the aromatic profile and structure of the wines, particularly those made from Trentino’s native white varieties.
