Château Borie Neuve
About Winery and Wines
Château Borie Neuve is a family-run winery nestled in the heart of the Minervois region, between the historic city of Carcassonne and the picturesque Canal du Midi. Steeped in tradition, the estate reflects the dedication of three generations of the Correia family. Grandfather Marcel, his sons Philippe and Bruno, and grandson Benjamin work together, growing the estate into what it is today—100 hectares of lush vineyards and scrubland. The story of Château Borie Neuve is one of passion and perseverance, a testament to family unity and a shared love for viticulture.
At Château Borie Neuve, sustainable farming and respect for the environment are at the core of our philosophy. By blending traditional winemaking methods with modern innovations, we create wines that capture the essence of the Minervois terroir. Our vineyards thrive in a region rich with biodiversity, where the scents of thyme, rosemary, lavender, and garrigue plants infuse the land, and clay-limestone hillsides impart unique characteristics to our grapes. The result is wines that express the purity and complexity of this exceptional terroir.
The wines of Château Borie Neuve are a true reflection of the diverse and rich terroir of the Minervois region. Our estate cultivates an impressive range of grape varieties, including Cinsault, Grenache (white and black), Syrah, Caladoc, Merlot, Viognier, Roussanne, Vermentino, and Muscat petit grain. These carefully selected varieties thrive in our clay-limestone soils and are enhanced by the surrounding garrigue, contributing to the fruity and expressive character of our wines.
Our reds, such as the "Cuvée Benjamin" and "Camille," have earned recognition in the prestigious Hachette Guide for their elegance and depth. Our white, "Chemin de Traverse," and rosé, "Les Terrasses," have garnered numerous awards, standing out for their freshness and balance. Each bottle is a reflection of the passion and expertise passed down through generations, offering a taste of the remarkable Minervois terroir in every sip.
