About Winery and Wines

Château La Levrette is a family-owned vineyard located in the Blaye region, just 55 kilometers from Bordeaux. Nestled along the right bank of the Gironde estuary, the estate spans 7 hectares of prized land within the "golden triangle" of Blayais. Founded by siblings Laetitia and Arthur Mauriac in 2006, who grew up in a family of Bordeaux wine merchants, Château La Levrette embodies their shared passion for winemaking. With deep respect for the region’s terroir, the estate produces exceptional wines that capture the character and richness of the Blaye appellation. Despite the loss of Arthur in 2011, Laetitia has continued the journey, crafting wines that balance Bordeaux tradition with innovation. Certified organic since 2013, the vineyard’s commitment to quality and sustainability has earned its wines a place in some of the most prestigious Michelin-starred restaurants and wine shops. Château La Levrette offers wines that reflect the family’s passion, the unique Blaye terroir, and a desire to break free from convention.

Château La Levrette produces a select range of red, white, and rosé wines, each expressing the unique qualities of the Blaye terroir. The flagship Château La Levrette Red is a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, boasting a deep carmine color with purplish tints. It offers an intense bouquet of red and black fruits, with hints of vanilla and toast. On the palate, it’s rich and full-bodied, with supple tannins and a lingering spiciness, ideal for aging. The Château La Levrette White is a powerful and atypical 100% Sauvignon Blanc, featuring complex aromas of tropical fruits, citrus, and vanilla. Its round and rich mouthfeel is balanced by a fresh and long-lasting finish. The La Petite Red, a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, offers flavors of blackberry and raspberry with fine, woody tannins, while the La Petite White showcases the bright citrus and peach notes of Sauvignon Blanc. Lastly, the La Petite Rosé blends Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, delivering fresh and vibrant berry aromas with a lively, refreshing finish. Each wine from Château La Levrette is crafted with care, offering a unique and modern take on Bordeaux winemaking.
